Personal Training - (weekdays only) - subject to availability.

A full training session taken by me, Steve Halls, Staffordshires' Premier Personal Trainer, in the Staffordshire area.

If you have not been trained by me before, I will carry out health checks (blood pressure, resting heart rate, lung function and if you desire, a bodyfat % check)

The normal session will consist of:

  1. A warm-up. A full routine to mobilise all the joints. This loosens off the joints and gets the synovial fluid flowing back into them. Gradually warm up the muscles in preparation for the main bulk of the session to raise the pulse, prepare the mind and to avoid injury.
  2. Main Session. A Cardio-Vascular, resistance, or a mixture of both (circuits etc) to get you energised and working towards your fitness goal whether that be weight loss or toning etc. If this session is a part of ongoing training, you will be given a program to follow to help you to achieve your health and fitness goals.
  3. A Cool-Down and Stretch. A cool-down consisting of light exercise to bring your pulse rate back down to normal. Finishing off with stretches to improve your flexibility and to flush out the lactic acid that will have built up in your muscles.

The sessions are tempered to your physical ability, but will ensure that you will gain valuable benefits regardless of age and ability by pushing you gradually out of your comfort zone to achieve adaptation of the body, i.e. a change.

Health tips and advice are ongoing throughout the session.
Specialist areas of concerns can be accommodated. Please let me know in advance of any special needs or past or present injuries. If you are in any doubt, seek advice from your Doctor (GP) to obtain clearance to undergo exercise.

A lot of endurance work was carried out on the Concept 2 rowing machine. Just to prove that exercise can be fun.

Janine getting to grips with bicep curls to work on her strength. Her record by the way for full press-ups non stop is 52.
