Massage Treatments - (weekdays only) - subject to availability.

A range of massage treatments administered by me, Steve Halls, Staffordshires' Premier Personal Trainer and Sports Therapist, In my exclusive therapy room in Stone, Staffordshire.

If you have not had any treatments from me previously I will need to carry out a full consultation to establish if there are any special precautions that I need to take.

The treatments available are as follows:

  1. Swedish "full body" massage.
A full body relaxation massage to take all the stress and tensions away from your muscles. The physiological effects of "Swedish" massage are largely due to the effect it has on blood and lymphatic circulation, tissue integrity, sensory perception and stimulation, neuroendocrine functioning and your energy fields.
  2. "Sports" massage. This is a deep tissue massage for sports people to treat or prevent injury. Through "Sports" massage I can remove the build up of general aches and pains that most sports persons seem to accept. I can use my hands to explore the tissues, find these problems and deal with them accordingly. This will not only help to improve performance and endurance but also prevent injuries and loss of joint mobility in potential trouble spots.
  3. Anti-cellulite massage.
A massage aimed at those trouble spots that you would rather not have. An extensive massage on the areas affected to break down the hard fat deposits lying under the skin.

Specialist areas of concerns can be accommodated. Please let me know in advance of any special needs or past or present injuries. If you are in any doubt, seek advice from your Doctor (GP) to obtain clearance to undergo massage.

MASSAGE IN PERU

The therapy room extends to the great outdoors as Steve massages the back of Max Milligan the trek leader on a recent trip to Peru. On a school football pitch high in the Andes (3 times higher than Ben Nevis) being carefully watched by the future Port Vale goalkeeper in the background he does his magic stuff. Steve has carried out many running repairs on trips to China (cycling), Italy (skiing), and Spain (conferencing). He takes his skill and puts it to immediate effect to keep people doing the activity that they love.

Max Milligan who is also a professional photographer and has filmed documentries for the BBC (see website www.maxmilligan.com) was struggling with his back due to trekking with a heavy pack (photography kit mainly) and sleeping in tents. Steve was able, with a couple of impromptu sessions, to keep him painfree for the rest of the trip albeit smelling of cooking oil from the kitchen.

If you have an ache or pain that is preventing you from experiencing life to the full, give Steve a ring immediately and get it sorted once and for all.

Next stop for Steve is Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. The massage oil is at the ready just in case.

Neck and shoulders is the target again as the intrepid trekkers take a break from their Everest Base Camp descent at Teneboche. The recipient this time was trip organizer Chris Sturdy.

This time Marie returns the compliment after Steve takes a fall on the way down the mountain. Ligament damages to add to the double broken leg suffered by another member of the trekking party, Mark Rowe.
