About Steve Halls

I was born in 1960, the 1st of January if you want to buy me a card. I was arguably the first baby born in the Sixties, but as I was born at home, the record doesn’t officially count.

Born in Stoke-on-Trent England I attended schools in Caverswall and Cheadle.

I joined the British Army straight from school at the tender age of 16 where I served for more than 23 years. I trained as a vehicle mechanic, which is the reason that most of my analogies involve engines etc. I attained the rank of Warrant Officer Class 1 before I left in 2000, to return (via Tern Hill) to settle back in my native Potteries.

On leaving the Army, I took the Premier Diploma Course in Fitness Training and Sports Therapy. The Diploma covered the following subjects:

My speciality is working with people with special medical conditions. You know, the ones that most trainers and gyms shy away from. These people provide me with my biggest challenges, which inspire me further. Some of the many special conditions that I have worked or are currently working with include:

I do have my fair share of people with no special issues other than the desire and somewhat lack of motivation to get fit and healthy. Somewhere in all this, there is a place for everyone. Everyone is welcome regardless of age or ability. I predominantly work in the Stone, Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent area, but have some clients as far as Birmingham and Shrewsbury. Telephone coaching means that everybody is now accessible to my training.

In 2004 I started to do some work for the Academy of High Achievers (AHA) and was one of their trainers on the Ignite 1 programme held in Peebles (Scotland) and Manchester (England). It was the meeting of such inspirational people on this course that inspired me to write my "Fit Body Initiative" eCourse. This is a 90 day fitness programme designed to get you on the road to a fit and healthy lifestyle by providing you with bite size pieces of information that come to your email box every day. This was later put into paperback in 2005.

In 2005 I became a certified professional speaker by attending the "Speaker's Bootcamp" run by the "Speaker's Academy", complying with all standards and requirements of "Speaking Dynamics International". Since then I have secured a contract with Diabetes UK to deliver a Health and Fitness module to their residential programs in Cardiff, Bournemouth, Glasgow, Folkestone, Leeds, Birmingham, Stirling, Peterborough, Stoke, Plymouth, Swindon and Market Bosworth. The list grows every year.

I have since become an NLP Master Practitioner and have incorporated the skills into Personal Training to get quicker and more amazing results from my clients. Currently I’m devising more exercises for my new passion “Neurobics”. If you want to know more about this, drop me a line.

My hobbies include folk singing and playing the guitar to any misguided person mad enough to want to listen. Also, for my positive stress input, I am a season ticket holder at Stoke City Football Club.

Life in the Premier League is challenging and great fun. Bring on match day..
